🌿 NEWSLETTER 12-4-26 β€” Theme: When Your Past Keeps Following You

β€œThe past may follow you β€” but it doesn’t have to define you.”

Last week I shared a personal part of my story about family patterns and the roles that can follow us long after we have changed.

One of the hardest parts of healing is discovering that inner transformation does not always change how others see you.

Sometimes the past continues to live in their memory.

A story about who you once were.
A role you once played.
A version of you that no longer exists β€” but that others may still hold onto.

For a long time I believed that if I explained myself clearly enough, or showed how much I had grown, the old story would eventually disappear.

But life taught me something deeper.

True freedom does not come from changing the story others hold about you.

It comes from no longer needing that story to change.

This does not mean the past disappears.

It means that your relationship with it changes.

And slowly, the past loses its power to define who you are today.

⭐ Theme of the Week:Living Beyond the Old Story

This week we explore a gentle but powerful question:

What happens when we stop trying to correct the past
and begin to live more fully from the present?

Sometimes the deepest shift is not proving who we are now β€”
but quietly embodying it.

.

✨ Mini Insight β€” The past often lives in memory, not in reality

Family patterns often survive through memory.

Through the stories people keep repeating about what happened, who was responsible, and what roles were played.

But growth happens in the present moment.

And sometimes the most powerful act of healing is simply continuing to live from who you have become β€”
even if others are not ready to see it.

.

🌬️ Mini Exercise – Returning to the Present

.

Think about a situation where you still feel connected to an old story about yourself.

Now pause for a moment.

Take one slow breath in.
And one slow breath out.

Then gently ask yourself:

Who am I in this moment β€” beyond that old story?

Let the answer come from your body rather than your mind.

Even a small shift in awareness can open a new space inside you.
